VEGA LAUNCH COMPLEX (or ELV)For Orbiter 2010 (not for the new Orbiter 2016)
This Launch Complex for Vega rockets is located at the Space Flight Center of Kourou, in French Guyana.
This add-on is an update for the must have Space Center of Kourou by Papyref and Mustard.
It is necessary and essential to first install the " Kourou CSG global - part1 and part2 " add-on here :
Kourou CSG global part1
Kourou CSG global part2
This Launch Zone was built in 1973 for launching the Europa 2 rocket.
It was reconverted and adapted for the Ariane 1 rockets and was renamed as ELA-1 for "Ensemble de Lancement Ariane 1" (in French).
This complex was closed in 1989 and the Tower destroyed in 1991. It remainded only the concrete foundation block and the water reservoir.
During the late of the years 2000 a major modification is made and a new Assembly Tower is built. It was renamed as ELV for launching Vega Rockets.
The first launch of this new rocket has occurred on February 13th, 2012.
Installation :
Just unzip the "zip" file in the root folder of your Orbiter.
Some files will be overwritten (don't worry) :
- Kourou_CSG.cfg
- ariane1.ini - ariane2.ini - ariane3.ini
- zl1tower.ini - zl1tour.msh
- R4D.msh
- Earth_6_w4785_n0460.dds
Recommended add-on :
You can use this add-on alone, but it was made especially for the Vega rocket.
You have a Vega rocket modeled by Xosema on OrbitHangar at this address :
http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=2546
Note :
The Vega rocket is too low with this new launching complex.
A file from Xosema's add-on needs to be modified :
Edit the ...\\Config\\Vega\\Vega.ini file and modify COG=3 to COG=8.61.
Compatible SDKs :
- Spacecraft 3 & 4 (by Vinka) provided in this add-on.
- Multistage2015 (by Fred18) provided in this add-on.
- D3D9 Graphic Client (by Jarmonik) no provided (optional).
Many thanks to them !!!
Plead read the explicative Manual (in French and in English), located in the ... \\ Doc \\ ELV folder.
